The "Specsavers Favourite Kiwi Cricket Umpire" competition is organised by Specsavers New Zealand Limited Company ("Specsavers"), and it includes any related company as defined by the Companies Act 1993. Entries must be submitted online by Monday 9 January, 2012. Only one nomination can be made per person. Winners will be contacted personally. Nominees will be judged on how they demonstrate a special dedication to the growth and participation of cricket in their community.

To be eligible to win the competition, you must have umpired local games for either children or adults; must have umpired in both the 2010 and 2011 cricket seasons; be completely voluntary and have no income from involvement in cricket. If you win the "Specsavers Favourite Kiwi Cricket Umpire" competition, you agree that photographs from the photo shoot conducted by Specsavers, or its suppliers, can be used for all promotional purposes. As a nominee for your entry to be eligible, you must consent to your photograph being published for media purposes in print and/or online, along with your full name, suburb and photograph at the discretion of Specsavers. Your contact details may be supplied to media outlets for the purposes of contacting you for an interview.

Six regional finalists from each Major Association region will be selected week commencing 16 January 2012. Regional finalists will receive two pairs of Specsavers glasses from any range and a double pass to an international cricket fixture in New Zealand, which will be determined by Specsavers New Zealand Limited. All associated travel costs to international cricket fixtures will be at the regional finalist's expense. The overall winner of the Specsavers Favourite Kiwi Cricket Umpire Competition will receive a one-on-one training session with an available high-profile umpire, family pass to an international fixture, 2x pairs of Specsavers glasses from any range in store and 2 x prescription sunglasses from any range in store, $500 Canterbury clothing voucher, $1,000 prize money.

The overall winner will not receive a finalist prize as well as their overall winner prize. Your order for Specsavers glasses must be placed by 1 July, 2012. Glasses must be made to the same prescription. No cash alternative for any prize and all prizes are non-transferable. Not open to employees of Specsavers, their families or anyone professionally associated with the promotion. The winner will be announced week commencing January 23, 2012. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Specsavers reserves the right to alter or substitute any of the prizes with a prize of a similar value. Entries, including photographs, disks or image files, cannot be returned under any circumstances. You cannot enter the "Specsavers Favourite Kiwi Cricket Umpire" for yourself and you must have the approval of your nominated entrant and their acceptance of terms and conditions before they are nominated. Specsavers reserves the right to require confirmation of your identity. Failure or refusal to do so if requested will result in your disqualification.

Nominees and Nominators will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to abide by them when entering this competition. The competition organisers will not retain the personal information supplied with your entry, nor provide it to any third parties other than for the purposes of organising, judging or publicising the competition.
